Get your dolls festival and camping ready!
with Toy Designer, Rachel Godfroy
Rachel is a toy designer specialising in creating dolls, but during the lockdown she's teamed up with DesignaFriend dolls to produce YouTube video tutorials to make doll items from everyday objects.
As part of a 2-part special, you can become a fashion designer for the day! First, watch as Rachel creates a festival inspired outfit and headband for your dolls using an old t-shirt. Then get ready to watch as Rachel creates a DesignaFriend camp for your dolls and have an adventure under the stars! Using items you already have in your home, you can create your own festival camping scene for hours of fun with your doll friends.
To make your dolls campfire you will need some small sticks, some red and orange sweet wrappers or tissue paper (for the fire), sticky tape or glue, some LED battery operated fairy lights, kebab sticks and mini marshmallows or pom poms. For the bunting you will need some cotton fabric, fabric glue and scissors. (No sewing needed!) You will also need a small round sponge, some cardboard, glue and the downloadable printables.
To make your dolls festival outfit you will need an old t-shirt, some ribbon, fabric glue, scissors, elastic and tissue paper.
